Serving as major league managers during 2003 were Bob Boone (Zeta Psi) of the Cincinnati Reds (first part of season) ; Lloyd McClendon (Kappa Alpha Psi) of the Pittsburgh Pirates; and Jeff Torborg (Chi Psi) of the Florida Marlins (first part of season). Greeks who are coaches on big league clubs include Tom Gamboa (Lambda Chi Alpha) of the Kansas City Royals; Orel Hershiser (Sigma Phi Epsilon) of the Texas Rangers; Burt Hooton (Kappa Alpha Order) of the Houston Astros; Art Kusnyer (Phi Gamma Delta) of the Chicago White Sox; and Bob Schaefer (Theta Xi) of the Kansas City Royals.
