Resources and Support Available

In order to assist you in the implementation of the NIC Standards for your fraternity and on campuses, several additional resources and support are available to you.

IFC ACADEMY 2007

The North-American Interfraternity Conference is pleased to announce the dates and location for the 2007 IFC Academy.

The Academy will be held on January 27, 2007 in Indianapolis, Indiana. There will be only one Academy this year. Held at the beautiful downtown Hilton Hotel, the room rate will be only $104 for singles and doubles. Rooms that sleep six comfortably are also available for a slightly higher charge.

The fee for Academy will once again remain at $125 and includes all Academy materials, lunch, and dinner.

Academy Goals

This will be the third year for the Academy program. Over the course of the past few months, the NIC has evaluated the program and come to a number of conclusions.

  • The Academy provides IFCs with exposure to national issues, available resources, and urgent needs.
  • The Academy allows IFCs to identify strengths and weaknesses and encourages the IFC leaders to ensure that they are provided the necessary programs, functions and benefits to their member organizations.
  • The Academy will continue to focus on the following areas/issues: IFC Function, Policy, and Priority; Legal Issues; NIC Standards Education and Implementation; and Best Practices for Recruitment and Expansion, Community Relations, and University-Fraternal Relations

The Academy curriculum and outcomes will again address the important needs of the IFC. Our goal is to assist IFCs in becoming fully functioning groups that represent the interests of all fraternities on each campus.

ALUMNI ACADEMY

A training seminar for alumni working with undergraduate chapters. Perfectly suited for fraternity conventions or special campus seminars, this day-long program helps reintroduce alumni to the fraternity, teaches participants about today's college student and today's fraternity issues, and helps guide the participants into suitable roles within the fraternity advising structure.

Contact the NIC to schedule your program or submit an information request here.

Ask for a Consultation Visit

The NIC is prepared to assist you in a one-on-one consultation. We are glad to participate in your leadership programs, your conventions, and meetings.
