Two Greeks Are Winners at ACM Awards Show
The 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards show in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday night saw two Greeks win three awards. Charles Kelley, a Lambda Chi Alpha from University of Georgia, and his group, Lady Antebellum, won Vocal Group of the Year honors and Album of the Year for "Need You Now." Winning the Vocal Event of the Year category was Zac Brown, member of Kappa Alpha Order from University of West Georgia and leader of the Zac Brown Band, which recorded the song "As She's Walking Away", with country legend Alan Jackson.
