Pi Lambda Phi’s Cuban Wins the Big One
Helping lead the Dallas Mavericks to their first National Basketball Association championship after 31 seasons in the league were owner Mark Cuban, a member of Pi Lambda Phi from Indiana University, forward Brian Cardinal, a member of Theta Chi at Purdue and the team's director of basketball development Rolando Blackman, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi from Kansas State University. Meeting the Mavericks in the championship final series were the Miami Heat, led by team president Pat Riley, a member of Sigma Nu at the University of Kentucky.
