Greeks Chosen for Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame

Eight men have been announced as the newest members of the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame and two are alumni of NIC member fraternities. Longtime head coach Eddie Sutton, a member of Sigma Chi at Oklahoma State, was the first coach to take four schools--Creighton, Arkansas, Kentucky and Oklahoma State--to the NCAA tournament. He had an 804-328 record over 36 seasons. Selected as a contributor was Joe Vancisin, a Beta Theta Pi from Dartmouth. who was Yale head coach for 19 seasons. He was president of the National Association of Basketball Coaches and executive director of the NABC for 17 years. Both will be officially inducted into the Hall on November 20th in Kansas City, Missouri.
