Seminar - Call for Programs

In order to ensure a first-class program the planning committee needs your help.  Below you will find the several categories to stimulate your thinking as you consider programs that you would like to present or those individuals that you would like to prompt to submit a program.

THE Foundations Seminar 2011

Higher Education Influence - What are the best practices within the college and university fundraising world?   What are some ideas, trends, initiatives that we can learn from?  How has our industry been impacted by the efforts of higher education fundraising?  How has your organization learned from a college or university?

Volunteer Engagement - How has your organization utilized volunteers in fundraising?  What are the most revolutionary ways you have seen board members engaged in fundraising?  How are relationships with volunteers driving the mission of your foundation?

Stewardship -  How are you translating the work or your foundation to various publics?  How does your staff structure reflect the mission of the organization?  What is the best "elevator speech" you've ever heard?  Does your organization regularly audit programs and services with mission and values of the organization?

Governance - UPMIFA, 990's, C (3)'s, OH MY!  Foundation registration, auditing, relationships, and more.  So many topics, so many questions.  Think you have a pretty good handle on a legal or finance issue?  We would love to hear about it.

So Much More - We've tried to stimulate your minds with the above topics.  These are by no means an attempt to control or limit you.  Any session is welcome.

In addition to the normal abstract the committee asks that you also consider how your program relates to the overall theme of OUR IMACT.  That is to say, how will your session advance the overall fraternal philanthropic industry?  Does your session highlight something that is already happening that helps to advance the industry?  Are you celebrating an initiative, a program, or an event from which others can learn?  Have some fun with the theme integration!
