One important role of NIC as the fraternity world's trade association is to provide member organizations with news, developments, and trends in higher education so that fraternity boards, committees, and staff will have information they need to plan programs and services for their members. Today we are initiating a new effort in that direction using this blog as a way to distribute that helpful information.
The success of our fraternities relies in major ways on understanding and working well with our chapters' host institutions. Select news, research reports, survey results, and trends coming from and/or influencing universities and colleges will be reported here so that you can be aware of the latest developments and of how to follow up on them for your own fraternity's use.
Typically you will find the basic material or document (sometimes a summary) on this blog, along with both some brief comment on its importance and on where you can look for additional detail. As always you should feel free to contact NIC staff for further information and help.
