Futures Quest is a unique opportunity for men who are new to the fraternity experience to engage in an intentional and interfraternal leadership development institute designed specifically for those who have joined a fraternity in the past year. Think of how great it would be to have some additional advocates in your chapter or community who have been exposed to many of the same concepts that are discussed and learned at UIFI. Or, think of how amazing it could have been to have a similar experience right after you joined your organization. Now you have an opportunity to pass that on and encourage men to attend Futures Quest.The registration deadline for Futures Quest is fast approaching and is less than two weeks away. If you have been thinking about attending Futures Quest or encouraging the new fraternity men in your community to attend, now is the time for action!
Throughout Futures Quest, participants will be challenged to define and reach their own personal summit and experience a journey that will culminate in a plan for their future as a principled fraternity leader. Futures Quest explores the importance of Ritual, values, and courage and challenges participants to embody their fraternal ideals right from the outset of their fraternity experience. Each session of Futures Quest will be led by two NIC staff members and a group of mentors who are fraternity/sorority leaders from across the country.
Why should someone attend Futures Quest?
Futures Quest represents an exceptional opportunity for any community or chapter. By attendingFutures Quest, a chapter or fraternity community will be infused with young change agents who know how to address the challenges fraternities face. Futures Quest is an institute, and you would find the same quality as you would find at other NIC programs, such as UIFI and IMPACT. The curriculum is current and cutting-edge. The facilitators are dynamic and engaging. Futures Quest is also interfraternal, which allows the participants to grow their perspectives of fraternity. The team of mentors provides participants an opportunity to not only personalize their experience, but also to learn from their peers. Our location in Central Indiana is ideal for the experience, which includes an outdoor high ropes challenge course.
What is the cost?
The registration fee for Futures Quest is $395 for Interchange Members and $495 for Non-Interchange members (this is unchanged from previous years). The registration fee includes lodging, meals, and airport transportation. Participants are responsible for their own airfare or mileage expenses.
When and Where is Futures Quest?
There are two sessions of Futures Quest. Sessions are scheduled for December 19-21, 2009; and January 7-9, 2010. All sessions are held at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, IN.
