Register now for the Jon Williamson Futures Quest!
The registration deadline for Futures Quest is fast approaching!
Are you looking for the newer members of your organization? If so, now is the time for action! The priority registration deadline for the Jon Williamson Futures Quest is on December 1, 2010.
Futures Quest is an opportunity for fraternity men to engage in an intentional and interfraternal leadership development institute designed specifically for those who have joined a fraternity in the past year. Futures Quest is unique in that it provides new fraternity members with an experience that is broader than their own chapter. At Futures Quest, participants will learn new skills related to ethical decision making and problem solving, conflict management, values integration, and effectively taking risks. All of this is then correlated to the pivotal role that fraternal values play in both leadership and being a fraternity man. Throughout Futures Quest, we strive to answer the question of what does it mean to lead a fraternity and then provide the skills necessary to make that vision a reality. The curriculum is supplemented by the involvement of undergraduate mentors, all of whom are graduates of UIFI and have been successful in elevating their chapters and communities.
Why should fraternity men attend Futures Quest?
Futures Quest represents an exceptional opportunity for your organization. By sending or encouraging men to attend Futures Quest, you will infuse your fraternity community with young change agents who know how to address the challenges fraternities face. Futures Quest is an institute, and you would find the same quality as you would find at other NIC programs, such as UIFI and IMPACT. The curriculum is current and cutting-edge. The facilitators are dynamic and engaging. Futures Quest is also interfraternal, which allows the participants to grow their perspectives of fraternity. The team of mentors provides participants an opportunity to not only personalize their experience, but also to learn from their peers. Our location in Central Indiana is ideal for the experience, which includes an outdoor high ropes challenge course.
What is the cost?
The registration fee for Futures Quest is $395 for students attending through the support of their organization or those from Interchange member campuses and $495 for Non-Interchange members (this is unchanged from previous years). The registration fee includes lodging, meals, and airport transportation. Participants are responsible for their own airfare or mileage expenses.
When and Where is Futures Quest?
There are two sessions of Futures Quest. Sessions are scheduled for December 18-20, 2010; and January 4-6, 2011. All sessions are held in Central Indiana
We invite you to encourage fraternity men who have been (or will be) initiated in 2010 to apply to attend. More information as well as the online application can be found at: http://www.nicindy.org/programs/futures-quest/. From there, you can also send a FQ e-card to men who might be interested. Please feel free to contact Will Foran with any questions.
