NIC Resolution
1999 Annual Meeting
On December 3, 1999, at the Annual Meeting of the National Interfraternity Conference, the members of the House of Delegates considered a recommendation of the Constitution and By-Laws Task Force to change the name of our organization. After appropriate discussion, and with a desire to reflect the fact that many of our member fraternities have chapters in Canada, it was unanimously approved by the 56 voting delegates to change our name to North-American Interfraternity Conference. The change is effective immediately and the same initials, NIC, will continue to be used.
