NIC Resolution
Resolution on the Legal Fund
Whereas it is the NIC membership's interest to protect the legal and constitutional rights of its constituency; and,
Whereas the NIC established the NIC Legal Advocacy Fund in 1992; and,
Whereas annual assessments for the fund have been put in abeyance; and,
Whereas the fund currently has approximately $60,000; and,
Whereas for that fund to be of future value to address certain legal issues;
Therefore be it resolved that the additional assessment of ten percent of a member organization's annual dues be made and be reviewed by the House of Delegates in the year 2000 and will come up as old business each 5ucceeding year.
This resolution was approved by the NIC House of Delegates in December 1999.
