BE IT RESOLVED, that the House of Delegates directs the Board of Directors to appoint an interim task force to study the nomination and election procedure to the NIC Board of Directors. The task force shall review appropriate models with the purpose being to create a more open nominating and election process as reflected in the discussion at the 1998 House of Delegates meeting. The task force, to be named by the board, shall include representatives from the House of Delegates representing differing points of view. Any task force proposal for changes in procedure shall include the necessary constitutional, bylaw and policy amendments. The task force shall provide a final report to the Board of Directors by Fall, 1999 for review before final presentation to the House of Delegates in 1999.
