Jeffries Appointed to NIC Law Committee
The North-American Interfraternity Conference is proud to announce that Mr. C. Cole Jeffries, Jr. has been appointed to the NIC Law Committee. Mr. Jeffries is a former JAG Officer and current practitioner in Tampa, Florida and will join the committee effective immediately.
Luke Schissel, member of the NIC Board of Directors and Chairman of the Law committee, indicated that he is pleased Mr. Jeffries is joining the committee. "He brings an intense fraternity experience to this committee," Schissel said. Mr. Jeffries has served the Kappa Sigma Fraternity as a member of the Board of Directors and as chairman of his fraternity's legal commission.
The Law Committee is a standing committee of the NIC and is charged with handling all legal matters of the organization such as comity, expansion, law suits, amicus briefs, and protection of copyrights. The NIC is the umbrella organization for the 66 national/international men's fraternities. The purpose of the organization is to advocate and promote the well-being of its national/international member fraternities and to foster Interfraternal cooperation and communication.
