NIC Director of Member Services Leaves for New Position

Lisa Fedler, after more than two years with the North-American Interfraternity Conference, will be leaving as Director of Member Services effective March 29, 2002 to accept the position of Director of Marketing and Development for the Indianapolis Bar Association and Indianapolis Bar Association Foundation. She begins her new duties April 1, 2002.

Executive Vice President Jon Williamson praised Fedler for her work for the NIC saying "she has brought professionalism to a new height in our office. Her dedication to this organization and her commitment to the fraternal movement are going to be missed." Fedler's responsibilities included coordinating the NIC Annual Meeting, INTERCHANGE, and the Alumni Academy. "She has worked hard for the greater good and done a great job for us," Williamson added.

Under her direction, the NIC's Alumni Academy was created to offer comprehensive training to fraternity alumni members in an effort to boost their involvement with undergraduate chapters. "The Alumni Academy is one of our most important programs. It makes a difference," Williamson said.

"The NIC has helped me to grow professionally, and I value all that the NIC has to offer all its members," Fedler added. A member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, She indicates she will continue to be involved in various projects within the fraternity community, to volunteer for her own organization, and will always work for the good of the fraternal movement.

Williamson added his personal thoughts regarding Fedler's departure. "I will miss her humor, sensitivity to students, and her ability to build relationships," he said.

A reception in her honor will be held at the NIC offices on Tuesday, March 26, 2002 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
