NIC Political Demographics

The North-American Interfraternity Conference [NIC] was founded in 1909 and is "an organization of organizations" made up of 72 men's fraternities in the USA, the oldest being Kappa Alpha Society, founded in 1825 at Union College. The NIC's mission is to advocate, promote, and enhance the excellence and effectiveness of the men's college fraternity movement. Through its 72 member fraternities, NIC represents over 350,000 undergraduates at 800+ colleges and universities all across America plus over 4.2 million living alumni located in every State of the Union and every Congressional District. NIC fraternities provide in excess of 3.7 billion dollars in student housing at our 800 campuses at zero cost to those schools or the American taxpayers. They also support their colleges and universities through alumni donations at a rate that is double that of non-fraternity member alumni, donate over 3.5 million hours of volunteer community service annually, and provide millions of dollars in scholarships at zero cost to the colleges and universities, the federal government, or the U.S. taxpayer.
